Re: EARTHQUAKE! JULY 8th 2006
What your not understanding is contant motion of the plates is good. Its not a bad thing or an ommen to have a bunch of tiny earth quakes, whats bad is when all goes silent, and theres no activty. That is a sign of a big one building up. Now look at the west coast, look at the lack of activity in the past 2 weeks................

you do know that the one day that you forget to predict an earthquake will be the day that it happens.

update for the uninformed..:wavey:
I'm not sure what to do with this one: A report this morning of a tsunami on the Indonesian Island of Java. Not a huge tsunami, about 2-meters high, but you can drown in a cup of water, so size is not important. With the current time/predictive reports from www.halfpasthuman.com still suggesting the big "kicks ass" earthquake is out there in our future, maybe we had our scaling of earthquake events all wrong. If we have a series of three quakes in fairly short order (with some loss of life in each) then a huge event might come 70-90 days from now. The time maps seem to point in that direction. Hmmm... There's almost no doubt that the May 26th event was the starting point, so if today's event were to be the 'second toe" event, then yes, a series of two more major quakes around the Pacific Rim with loss of life and then the huge event this fall, say around October, would make sense. We have observed that when body parts are associated linguistically with events that loss of life and/or serious injury seems to accompany events. References to five "toes" could mean loss of life. We'll know, especially if a large area of the West Coast goes involuntarily swimming between now and year's end. from http://urbansurvival.com/week.htm |
